Course Request Changes 

All course changes are based on availability. Course changes might not happen for elective courses. Requests to change teachers or lunches will not be accommodated. Requests to change classes to be with friends will not be accommodated. Students need to have earned 24 credits before they can request a study period. Consequently, students in Grades 9, 10 and 11 will take eight courses. Changes to eLearn classes are very limited.

Course changes with priority are for only the reasons listed below: 

  • Students who are in Grades 9, 10 or 11 who have less than 8 courses.** 
  • Students in Grades 12 who do not have enough credits to graduate (30 credits needed). 
  • Students who need a compulsory course to meet a graduation requirement. 
  • Students who failed courses and need to repeat them. 
  • Students who passed a summer school course, which is still on their timetable. 
  • Students who need a prerequisite for an apprenticeship, college or university program.  

Please Note - your Guidance Counsellor may respond to your request via email rather than an in-person meeting depending on your request.
