Reasons for a Guidance Appointment      

  • Course Change
  • Post-Secondary Planning
  • Mental Health
  • Co-op
  • SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major)
  • Other (give reasons)

Course Request Changes 

COURSE CHANGES are suspended as we work to resolve conflicts in the 2025-2026 schedule. Students that request a course change will not get an appointment until all conflicts have been resolved.

 

Course changes with priority are for only the reasons listed below: 

  • Students who are in Grades 9, 10 or 11 who have less than 8 courses.** 
  • Students in Grades 12 who do not have enough credits to graduate (30 credits needed). 
  • Students who need a compulsory course to meet a graduation requirement. 
  • Students who failed courses and need to repeat them. 
  • Students who passed a summer school course, which is still on their timetable. 
  • Students who need a prerequisite for an apprenticeship, college or university program.  

**REQUESTS TO CHANGE TEACHERS OR A LUNCH PERIOD WILL NOT BE ACCOMMODATED** 

  

PLEASE NOTE: Students must have earned at least 24 credits before they are able to request a study period/spare.
