Frequently Asked Questions
WHO? - Any current grade 8 students coming to St. Joe's next year are eligible.
WHAT? - Earn a TIJ1O - grade 9 technology credit
WHEN? - Monday to Friday, July 2nd- 29th during regular school hours
*Daily attendance is mandatory.
WHERE? - St. Joseph's Catholic High School in St. Thomas, ON
WHY?
1) Students will earn their mandatory junior technology credit. *If they have selected TAS1O for grade 9 next year, it should be removed as this course meets the tech. requirement. Please reach out to [email protected]
2) Learn some valuable life skills through hand-on project-based learning. Students will have the opportunity to experience our foods, construction and green industries classes and create some amazing things.
3) Students will get to meet other grade 8 students who will be coming to St. Joe's next year.
4) Students will experience their first high school course and become familiar with our staff and the school building.
Deadline to Register: Friday, May 10, 2024
Uniform - Students will not be expected to wear their school uniform but will be expected to wear clothing that is appropriate for school and for working in a shop setting.
Attendance / Assignment Completion - Daily attendance is mandatory and students will need to complete assignments in order to earn this credit.
